I think that was the weight, it was world of strength farmers with 80kg on each. Think they're 45kg per handle. They really pull at your lats don't they. Loaded them up and didn't work out the weight, thought I'll get some good reps in on this. Got a surprise, hence 1 rep on first set. Though I might get a few singles, but made it to 7. With straps I would have got more. (will have straps for car deadlift at comp!)edit: anyone else get really bad shin splints from farmers walk?? | ||

The plan was for a final axle clean and press session before comp on the 4th of July, but I don't think I'd recover very well, and it might mess up the rest of my final weeks training, so took it a bit easier... Overhead Press from stands Bar x some 60kg x3 push pressp, 3 power jerk, 3strict (all 1 set) 80kg x3pp, 3pj (all 1 set) 90kg x3pp (sleeves on here) 95kg x3pp Pretty happy with a comfy 3 at 95kg with more in the tank. Tried elbow sleeves, dunno if they help or not, but they didn't hinder (which I've thought in the past) Lateral raise 7.5kg x2 x15 10kg x10 Seated cable row 11p x3 x15 Facepulls 6p x15 8p x15 Tricep pressdowns 6p x3 x15 Not happy to be ill so near to comp, but happy with session considering. | ||

Farmers deadlifts (1" handles) (staps on) 250kg x5 250kg x10 290kg x10 in 50 seconds (more there) Happy with these, straps must make it easier, less concentrating on grip needed. Much easier than last weeks 7 with 250kg. Pickup is high though (18"ish) Last heavy session before comp on 4th July. | ||
