Iv been thinking about this recently, have you ever seen anyone who wears clothing specifically designed to be worn in a gym (aside from actual lifting gear like STDs) who actually lifts with any particular ability?

I had to re-read it a few times to get the gist of it.

I fear I will struggle to contribute to this subject, so I'll just mention that I've just finished a bag of cheese & onion crisps and I'll sit back and see how this thread progresses.

I think I get it now.

Gym specific clothing is a bit vague.

I know plenty of people who wear gym/supplement/strength 'brands' - xplosive ape, myprotein gear, singlets etc

and yes some are very strong.

In relation to 'vanity' gym gear such as the gymshark image above which tends to be sold more as 'workout' clothing then yes i have seen one or two but only on the rare occassion. The majority belong in the disco muscles brigade

The model in the first picture will probably not be moving massive weights from leanness of him (but looks can be deceptive) but loads of big dudes wear stuff like that and move decent weights.

Last bench session at Ralls I wore a pair of Gucci trainers and a Vivienne Westwood t-shirt. Now that is *real fashion* at the gym. lol

No you wear them outside the gym, on a night out, socials, about town etc, so regular people can tell you work out.

If you need to advertise that you lift by wearing gym clothing, you're doing it wrong.
I own a gym shark vest and have benched 5 plates in it a few times. Can't say I have seen anyone else in a gym shark vest hit 220kg.

Idk. I just wear a t shirt and some pyjamas or three quarter pants when lifting. Lol.

I am currently wearing a stengthshop T-shirt. I had breaky in it at the hotel I am in and plan to wear it for the rest of the day. Does that count?

Vast majority of my t-shirts either have a band name on or Powerlifting on

Today in the gym: cheap trackies and old t-shirt that I did gardening in yesterday.
