May be a warm up weight to some of the monsters on this site, but it was my first day at these,(only ever done them as a warm up with 40kg) didnt feel comfortable on my wrists, but that will come in time

iv never tryed them held like that. have you tried with bar across uppercheast an delts with your arms cross gripping the bar, not harsh on the wrists

Yeah tried that, but i didn't feel comfortable, i was ok upto 70kg, but then had to change back to holding the bar with finger tips, no gain without pain lol

Takes some getting use to, but worth it i reckon, keep me posted on how ya get on

I had this problem too, but never seemed to be able to get the grip right without crossing arms.

Tried it again last night and it felt really good, think a coule of sessions getting used to the new gri and I will easily break my PB on it. The oly grip is definately better if you can do it
