You have achieved 4th in a world grip competition. This is a great achievement. You know why/how this happened - you dedicated most of your adult life to training grip and are talented at it. No coincidence or luck involved.

How would you feel if I said I was going to cert. a number 4 COC? Must be logical as I closed a number 2 the first time I tried for REPS!

Isn't going to happen is it? It's common sense really. Same goes for rowing world records.

Again, I would love to be proved wrong, but your grasp of reality (or lack of it) will no doubt leave you thinking you can do it.

Go for it!

Well im not talented with grip, i was terrible to say the least when i started, could only pinch two 5kg plates and close a trainer, only gained the strength through many years of hard work. The rowing is different as ive already done less than 14 seconds without basically any practice on the machine and with it moving, the record is only 13.3 seconds. Keep in mind i've been doing arm over arm rowing in work for a decade so its built a good base and im built for it with my back length etc

Your hands are big though.

What about my other main points?

Average 30 year olds do not walk into new sports and break world records. It just does not happen.

Brock lesnar became ufc champ after 30. However he was an all American wrestling champ and far from average.

classic attention seeking from paul and everyone falling for it.
some quality old chesnuts in the past few days including a mention of his job- bonus point awarded, world record- second bonus point, a bet- third bonus point.
i wonder what has happened to make him that way?

They are but theres also loads with bigger hands and thats not most important thing, david horne has pretty normal sized hands. Having big hands hurts grippers too as you have less leverage on the handle with your fingers being spread up it rather than all near the bottom.

Yeah but im not an average 30 year old (29), i did 40 inch verticle leap without training once, thats supposed be really hard, i've always been athletic and im built well to row. Bottom line is i only need to shave 0.7 seconds off, forget the record part and its not that big a deal.

Paul is not comparable to Brock Lesnar.

UFC includes lots of wrestling; rowing isn't really a grip event.

I think this proves my point more than shows that Paul can break rowing world records.

Nothing you have done in any comp, or any sport other than grip suggests you are not like the rest of us, i.e. normal (average).

You would know by now (29 YO) if you were of the same ilk as Brock Lesnar.

Everyone involved knows it's stupid but admit it's so much fun!

It would be cyber bullying if it had anything other than a positive effect on Paul's bulletproof self confidence.

The man came within a whisker of breaking a rowing world record on a wonky machine with a bad foot after being up for 35 hours either working (aka strongman training) or playing poker (aka not gambling), how could anyone not want to hear what he has to say?

Nope got to national gold in fishing, thats not average and im not an average poker player either (also a sport). As well as that benching 100kg 54 times or front squatting 235kg or doing 76 dips at 133kg aint average. Theres no point aiming to be average. Positive mental attitude is key, everything you say is negative.
