Love these peaks and troughs of Pauls Soap opera of a Journal. i am genuinely interested in why you think your are mentally and physically stronger than the majority of peopel on here, when the majority of people on here are physiaclly and mentally tough (its the nature of our game)?

If you look at some of the criticism Paul's come under for his training, his hobbies and even some personal stuff that involve Sarah, his beloved girlfriend he's often acted extremely calm and collected I think .. He defends himself quite well most of the time - Much better than most would if they we're sat in his seat .. I'm not sure that his mental toughness carries over that well to his strength goals but time will deliver them answers I'm sure he must say a lot of stuff to spark you lot into a reaction, I think he's come to love this game as much as you silly sods have :-)

Because Paul is exceptional. Paul is mentally and physically tougher than almost everyone. He has a physically tougher job than everyone and would find most other jobs easy, even ones which are known to be stressful, such as sales jobs. He has conditioned his body over many years in ways which other people couldn't even consider putting themselves through. He anticipates that most people would give up having iced baths within a week or 2 when he endured them 2 x daily for 2-years and other other people couldn't put up with nearly the amount of heat he tolerates when plunging his hands in boiling water. He's made more progress in his training than pretty much everyone on here (200kg+ on his deadlift, 100kg on his overhead, remember) and the only reason why he's not won the comps he has entered it pure bad luck. No other reason. Look at it this way. He has excelled at most things he has put his mind to. The top grip competitor in the country (the world potentially when he certifies the COC #4) and national level angling. He's well on the road to becoming a professional landlord with a large property portfolio. He's pretty much there John.

He went to a boxing gym once and the trainer holding the pads laughed at his power. His foot was the only thing holding him back from a championship belt. Anyone remember his goal to hit something crazy on the 500m row?
