Ok, I have 2 comps coming up on May 28th and June 11th, but I am having so much bother with bicep tendon pain I can hardly train half the events.

Overhead, stones etc are agony. It flares up right away, even at light weights. The lifts feel easy for a rep, then the pain kicks in, and I cant do an more.

I dont want to pull out of the comps unless I really have to, one is my local title, wich I want to keep, and the other is the Scottish Final, which I dont want to miss.

Any advice on keeping the pain at bay while I train (it goes away right after I stop) and compete?

After the comps I plan to take a step back and get to the bottom of it, even it if means an extended break and not taking on more comps this summer.

ANy input would be much appreciated

mate leave the exercises the really agravate the tendons and ice and treat the area let it settle and heal a couple of weeks would help rather not see you pull a bicep tendon

The strange part is that it flares up at exactly the same time on both arms, same amout of pain in both, and settles down at the same time. Really frustrated Unhappy

Yeah mate, will leave it out for now, although that limits training quite a lot. Gonna try getting massage on it soon if I can

just find a way to get leverage onto them, it is cripplingly painful the first time(s).
