Another day another bench session....

Paused Bench -Smolov Jr - Session 10

60kg x 10
80kg x 10
100kg x 2
110kg x 5
110kg x 5
110kg x 5
110kg x 5 feeling comfy so upped it a tad
112.5kg x 5
112.5kg x 5
112.5kg x 5 another cheap total rep/weight PB

Definitely beginning to over reach - weight feels easy but the lifts are fairly laboured but never in doubt if that makes sense? About what I expected by this point, 117.5kg x 8 sets of 4 due Wednesday and 125kg x 10 sets of 3 due Friday then I am done, not entirely certain how to go from here, as of next week I drop to one bench session a week and I am thinking of going to 127.5kg x 10 sets of 3 then the following week 130kg x 10 sets of 3 then 135kg x 10 sets of 2, 140kg x 5-10 sets of 2 then try 150-155kg the week after, not sure really. Anyways all looking good at this point.


Seated Dead Strict Press

60kg x 5
80kg x 6 rep pb
80kg x 4

Cut these off at 3 sets as need to scale pressing back now I am nearing the end to ensure I can do the final 2 sessions of smolov jr. Nice little rep pb though - fatigued pretty heavily.

Front Squat

80kg x 5
100kg x 5
110kg x 3
120kg x 2
120kg x 2

Very pleased, not far away from my usual working weights on these and just feeling a tad out of practice. Injury feels good, zero pain and good full ROM, I will build back up from next week using my 5 rep, 3 rep, 2 rep and if feeling good 1 rep progression scheme. Back on track fingers crossed.

Pendlay Row

Just trying these out for a change, lats sore from yesterdays deads but these felt pretty good, prefer normal barbell rows I think though.

Finished off with tons of rolling/stretching again as usual, not huge sessions but getting the required work in and all looking more positive.

Forgot to note since tightening diet and getting back on my proper diet I have dropped from 103kg to 98.5kg, looking better for it too.

Mammoth skiploads Neil, daily low carb apart from breakfast and a small amount post workout, just plain works for me and feel way less sluggish.
