Solid lifting Karen, pity I didn't get a chance to see much of it as I was warming up!

Moz - nice to meet you yesterday mate, really impressive lifting!

For future PL events, it appears that, if we put uneqiupped in the title and run two score sheets it is possible to put up an official total and qualifyer. This will be the pan for future comps.

I would like to thank all of the people who helped on Sunday, including the loaders and the lifters. After all this talk of fear of competition it was great to see first-time lifers performing with real passion and commitment.

I hope to see you all at the training session one the 22nd of june. This should also be at Rhino's.

i was impressed by the amount of first timers and young folk lifting in this comp - signs of a generation shift in NW Powerlifting? Or does this happen on a regular basis?

thanks guys - I am still buzzing from my experience and motivated to train harder than ever. Incidentally I had a bench session today (I have an amazing recovery rate) and widened my grip and 50k was shooting up for 5 paused reps easy Grin so maybe 55k paused is closer than I thought

I am very interested in coming to the training session at Rhino's... I never get to train with powerlifters so input on form etc is really valuable

That's fantastic news, Jim!

I want to repeat what I said to you and Bryn on the day: this was by far the smoothest, best-run and most fun comp I've been to. I'm sure they'll only get better too!

Sorry, I don't quite understand this - do you mean that future competitions will have equipped and unequipped categories? If so, does that mean that NW Equipped and Unequipped will no longer be separate competitions? Or do you mean something else entirely?

I also wanted to add - Martin was excellent on the mic, and the head ref was a god. Outstanding.

We will still have a NW unequipped and a seperate NW champs, but any other comps. we will include both in the title so that any unequipped lifts are official.
