Any of you guys who don't use PEDs big overhead pressers?

If so, what's your secret?

I've been hanging around the same level for a long time, drifting away from pressing then coming back to it. My triple is also the same as my single.
Any advice?

Thanks, and pleasant bum for help.

Thrash your shoulders, chest and triceps twice a week. Strict press, bench press, seated DB shoulder press, front/side/rear raises, CGBP, weighted dips, pull downs etc etc.. Just thrash f**k out of your pressing muscles till they get stronger.

I know my numbers aint great but when i first started my pressing was my weakest area.

Ursus is a natural pressing beast, bench press record holder Wink and awsome OH power. hopefully he will see this thread and say something similar to me Grin

Jay is a monster. He's my very favourite dumbell presser and he gave me the advice that when pressing a barbell, I should try and keep my elbows forward which was very pimpin' advice!

Twice a week sounds good to me. I can do overhead once in the gym and once at my brothers house so that can be done!
Any idea of rep ranges, amounts of sets etc?
How tired should my shoulders be after a session? etc.

I'm natural but s**t at pressing so can't really give you any advice! I have recently though started pressing 3 days a week, ie oh day with log/axle, bench day, strict or CGBP rotated. I'm finding my pressing is going from strength to strength now...

Oh and this may help

Thanks for the input on different methods. I'll take all the advice I can get. Everyone is better than me and I'm sure that everyone has made fantastic progress in comparison.

I remember your pyramid and backoff set worked very well for my benching single but my shoulders tire very quickly in comparison to my chest so I'm putting the feelers out there again.

Hard to say, my shoulders can take a fair beating on most pressing movements but things like heavy dips and bench in the same session can lead to 'bad' aching in my shoulders so trial i guesse?

10, 8, 6, 4, 2+ on the compound movement followed by assistance of 4 sets of 6-8 reps on a few different exercises works for me when nothing else will. Sounds a bit BB but i like it and have had results with it before.

Train your shoulders like a bodyubilder and hit every head of the delt.
Lots of tricep work
Try and add reps and/or weight when possible.
