Just want to know if anyone local to Brum/Cradley/Kiddy/Stoubridge has or knows where to get some cheap but solid scaffold or axle.

Sick of my weak double overhand grip!

Thanks

Mike

Look in yellow pages for a scaffold company.
They normaly charge u £1 a ft for tubing.
I got someone to weld a set of old collars
on to mine,works a treat.

Walk past a building site, have a look around and you wil notice loads of scaffold poles laying around.

Then...... nick one! Easy, and nobody on the site will give a f**k anyway.

I speak from first hand experience Grin

Any one know if drilling it and putting a bolt through each end for inner collars will considerably weaken it? My spring collars keep slipping.

I did this with mine mate and it hasn't done any damage yet. Most I've had on is 200kg

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
Those black axles look awesome! If I had the spare money I would seriousley get them!
Looks like a trip to the local construction site. £1 per foot seems fine. 8 foot bar 8 quid. Sorted.
