no i didnt go, i said to mike i was gonna, but did a documentary for channel 4 wednesday and that fuct me up trained for 4.5 hours no food. my deadlift has gone down since having 10 weeks off aswell. gonna get my strength back over next couple of weeks then improve before thinking about anything.

70kg log strict press- 10 reps
90kg log strict press- 5 reps
100kg log strict press- 5 reps
110kg push press- 3 reps
120kg failed

hang cleans 60kg- 6 reps
hang cleans 80kg- 5 reps
hang cleans 100kg- fail

shrugs 140kg- 10 reps slow
shrugs 180kg- 5 reps good form
shrugs 210- 5 reps forced
shrugs 240kg- 5 reps forced
shrugs 100kg- 10 reps slow x 3 sets

my propblem with the log is cleaning, i can press more than i can clean. think my technique isnt quite right. practice clean next sunday.

i would expect more than a 100kg hang clean with a 290 deadlift! its just gona be a technique issue as your obviously a powerful guy!

first time ever did hang cleans. as i couldnt clean the 120kg log thought id do some and traps.

22-12-08

2 minute cycle, some light stretches

squats

raw 60kg- 10 reps
raw 100kg- 6 reps
raw 140kg- 5 reps
raw 180kg- 5 reps
belt and knee wraps 220kg- 5 reps
belt and knee wraps 240kg- 2 reps

240kg first rep felt easy but think im lacking flexiblilty when going below parrallel and felt like the arch in my back straightened a little. second rep was slighlty higher then parrallel as was bit cautious of flexibilty.

front squats

raw 60kg- 8 reps
raw 100kg- 6 reps
raw 140kg- 2 reps
raw 140kg- 1 rep

leg press

raw 6 plates aside- 8reps?
raw 8 plates aside- 5 reps fast
knee wraps and belt on lightly just for caution. 12 plates aside- 8 reps

double overhand axle holds

65kg- 30 seconds?
105kg- 30 seconds
145kg- 20 seconds
155kg- didnt rach top of lift
105kg- 20 seconds
65kg- 30 seconds

single hand axle holds to side

65kg 15 seconds on each hand

more stretching, mainly hamstrings

yeh ill try get one on for sunday. what im doing now is pushing log with hips and using abit bicep and lower back to get it up. been watching on youtube strongman cleaning, but they got bellys to roll log around, i havent. might need to get a belly to help.

raw 100kg- 10 reps
wrist wraps 140kg- 5 reps
wrist wraps 180kg- 5 reps. 3 by myself, last 2 reps touched.

45 degree incline dumbell press

raw 50kg db- 5 reps
raw 60kg db- 4 reps
raw 60kg db- 5 reps

feeling strong, think ive got a 300 deadlift, 200 bench and 250 squat coming start of next year. aims for 2009 are:

squat 260kg belt and knee wraps
bench 200kg+ wrist wraps
deadlift 320kg belt and chalk
front squat 200kg+ if can work out how to hold the bar
push press 140kg

more event training and enter some intermediate comps for experiance

speed squats

warm up

3 minute cycle, light hamstring stretches
front raises and side raises 2 sets 10 reps- 8kg

log clean and press

raw strict press 70kg- 8 reps
raw strict press 90kg- 6 reps
raw strict press 100kg- 5 reps
wrist wraps and belt. push press 110kg- 5 reps
wrist wraps and belt. push press 120kg- 4 reps, 5th rep fail. EDIT (0 REPS)

80-85 degree angle shoulder press bench

raw 40kg db- 8 reps
light wrist wraps 45kg db- 5 reps
wrist wraps 50kg db- 3 reps failed 4th.

fore-arms pumped up, killing me so stopped here.

close grip bench press, legs in air

raw 60kg- 10 reps
raw 100kg- 6 reps
raw 140kg- 5 reps
180kg- spotter said did 1 rep by myself and he touched second, but im bit suspicious as he was touching bar during lift so going to say failed.

fore arms in agony

seated row with straps. whole stack is 300ish kg

strict. half stack- 12 reps
stict. just over half the stack- 8 reps
forced. nearly all the stack- 5 reps
forced. nearly all the stack- 8 reps

log press videos coming soon, felt very easy cleaning log today. think my problem is tight hamstrings, felt good stretching them before workout.
