Hi there, a friend introduced me powerlifting about march 2010 after a few years of general tooling about in the gym. decided to start a training log as means of keeping track of my progress.
After a healthy 6 week break from lifting due to exams, xmas and complete and utter laziness ,lifting has started again.

Goal is to get to get fit cardio wise and also be able to push big ass weights, would be happy with a 160kg bench, 240kg deadlift and anything over 200kg squat this year at around 88kg (current 94kg...the festive period was too good to me)

following 5-3-1 once i get my home gym more sorted, i.e squat rack built.

Did a quick bench workout to see how i felt

7/01/11

Bench press

bar x 15 reps
60 x 6 reps
80 x 6 reps
100 x 5 reps
110 x 5 reps
120 x 4 reps
120 x 5 reps
100 x 10 reps

Cardio

Punch bag 10 mins

was about 11 at night so was too tired to do anymore..

9/01/11

Deadlifts

60 x 5 reps
80 x 5 reps
100 x 5 reps
120 x 3 reps
150 x 5 reps
160 x 5 reps
(back was in reek so stopped there)

Dumbbell rows

50kg x 10 reps
50kg x 10 reps

Cardio

10 mins on punchbag

When are you gonna finish your rack? You could just buy a pair of squat stands for a reasonable price.

i are engineer,hopefully get the metal this week...prolonging the hell of leg doms as long as possible...i am in edinburgh wed through to sunday, fancy hitting the weights at some point?
