(pb incase u didnt guess) will upload video in abit, im 99% sure its in (welcome people to argue differently) happy with this, considering my comp was on the 1st may (30days ago) so 10kgs in 30 days. very nice! Speed Pulls 60 2x2 100 x1 130 10x1 Speed pulls felt really good, very fast, think the banded speed pulls have helped alot (thanks Jennings) SLDL 60 x8 100 x8 140 3x8 (hook grip hurts your thumbs!!) GHR Never done these before, but will defiantly keep working with them! Westside method proves they work so il keep on it! BW 5x3 Decline Abs on the GHR BW x10 10 3x10 VERY happy with todays session short but got all the important stuff in! More compound PBs to come later in the week! | ||

Upper Body Bench (T&G) 60 2x3 100 x2 120 x1 130 x1 (pb) 135 x1 (pb) Another 10kg pb in the past month, pretty happy with it! Made the mistake of trying 140, which i missed. Just greedy, should've stopped after 135. 3 Board Bench 90 x3 110 x3 125 5x3 (working on this, key to that 150 bench!!!) Power Clean Strict Press One power clean and then the reps overhead 50 x5 60 x2 70 4x2 Palms in Seated DB Shoulder Press 20 3x10 Barbell Front Raises 20 x10 30 2x10 Happy with the bench (video to follow) again any comments or tips feel free. Rest day tomorrow (which is filled with revision and boredom no doubt!) Then a big pull on Friday! | ||

Went in today planning for a big pull, things didn't go quite to plan, here's the numbers; Lower Body Deadlift 70 3x2 120 x2 160 x1 200 x1 Added belt 230 x1 250 xf Got it off the floor no problem, and about mid quad it seriously slowed and stopped! started to hitch it, but thought 'that aint my game' so just stopped. Bit of a shame really cos out of the 3 lifts this was the one i REALLY wanted! From my 1st comp in Nov '10 when i pulled something like 185 to my last comp where i pulled 240 (55kg improvement) so im not surprised my gains have slowed. Also Nov's comp my weakness was getting it off the floor, so i worked loads on the initial pull, if it came off the floor i could lock it out, but now, my strength has become my weakness! Lots of block pulls from now on before another ME attempt. Numbers im thinking are 280ish off 18" and 260 off 16"??? Anyway food for thought. Rest of the session goes like this; Speed Box Squats about a 32cm box 70 2x2 110 10x2 (these felt/looked nice and fast. WELL in on comp depth so happy days) Barbell Rows 60 x8 90 4x8 (last week of these, probably go to DB rows after this, Kroc rows....?) Shruggs 60 x10 110 x10 140 x10 175 3x10 Decline Abs BW x10 10 5x10 Sled and Farmers Medley Again not sure of sled weight, lets assume 10kgs Sled - 35kgs Farmers - 60kgs 2x25 metres Sled - 55kgs Farmers - 95kgs 3x25 metres Sled pull felt harder, but Farmers felt speeday! I'de like to get 140 for 25M before the end of summer (more number plucking i fear!!) So even though i missed the Pull i still had a good session. Now off to revise, although all i wanna do is eat, sleep and grow! Means to an end i suppose | ||

Box Squat with Black Bands 65 2x3 105 x3 135 x3 155 x1 - woulda liked a triple but considerin ME pull yesterday and previous work was 145x2 last week, im happy with this. Bench 60 x5,3 100 x3 120 5x3 (pb) so happy i can FINALLY do working sets with 120! slowly getting there! Power Clean Push Press One power clean then reps overhead 50 x3 60 x3 70 x3 80 x3 90 x1 (woulda liked a triple again, but after the benching im not tooo unhappy) Carried on with the power cleans, tried 100 a few times, missed but got it on the third attempt so another new pb! Tried 105 a few times under the influence of Damo but to no success, next time though!! Tricep Hell Basically you do 5 reps off of 1 board, working all the way up to a 5 board, so performing 25 reps in total, from Dave Tate Himself. 100 1BD x5, 2BD x5, 3BD x5, 4BD x5 100 3BD x5, 4BD x5, 5BD x8 A bit optimistic with 100kgs, couldnt manage the 5 board so went back and did 3, 4 and 5 again! Will get it next time though Seated Barbell Shoulder Press 40 x8 50 2x6 60 2x6 65 x5 Barbell Front Raise 20 3x15 very good finisher! Job Done! Next training will either be Tuesday or have to wait unill Thursday due to exams....boooo. | ||

But anyway, now to more important things Squat 60 2x3 100 x3 130 x3 150 x3 (added belt) 170 x2 190 2x1 ... pretty happy with this, 95% for two singles! been hammering squats hard for a few weeks now so gonna back off next week i recon 18" Blocks 70 x3 120 x3 170 x3 210 x3 230 x3 250 2x2 ... Gota work on these, in order to lock out that dam 250 i missed the other week. Gonna use the Hamson Method for these, 2x2, 5kg on a week. Something like that anyway. Feet up Paused Bench 60 x3 90 x3 110 3x3 ... good PB (previously 110x2!) happy with these considering ive not done ANY paused stuff since my comp and no feet up for even longer! More next week? Chest felt a pump after the 1st set. Winner! 3 Board Bench Absolutely in hysterics while benching until i got to 135, giggling with Jennings like a giddy school boy for no reason at all apart from being called Bob! 90 x1 110 x1 125 x1 135 x1 140 x1 (pb) Happy Overhead Pin Press 40 x8 55 5x8 Really working on that overhead stuff to get my strict and push press up! Triceps and chest were pretty ruined by now! Seated Palms in DB Shoulder Press (mouthfull) 22 3x10 Cabel Tricep Pushdowns Supersetted with Leg Raises 10 3x10, 10,10,10 x3 Barbell Front Raises - Finisher! 20 x10 30 3x10 Ouch, good session today, took along time but hey nothing else to do apart from revise In again on Thurs/Fri back to normal | ||

Speed Bench 60 2x3 75 3x3 85 2x3 95 2x3 CG Feet up Paused Bench 60 2x3 90 x3 105 x3 110 x3 had a bash at 115 but lost my grove/couldnt be ar5ed/was being a girl so gave up. Speed Pulls 60 2x2 100 x2 130 10x1 Chins BW 5x5 Lat Pulls 70 x10 75 x10 80 x8 85 x6 90 x5 80 x8 70 x6 Tired.... Decline Abs 10 x15,15,11(5) Boxing A mate was going on the bag so i thought ide join. Used to do TKD/MMA so wasnt completely useless... Just had 4 rounds of 2 mins on the bag. Would love to get back into it for conditioning....maybe during the summer when I have nothing else to do?? Bit of a clash of interests for Powerlifting though? Average session, going in tomorrow for some SM events. | ||
