I try and avoid what I would call volume and instead aim for a relatively high frequency and consistency...but I apprechiate the kind words Ben!!!

There are many things and movements in strongman to consider Happy

It is helping alot and would advocate my approach...

I'm hoping to get to a 130kg strict press which I'm pleased to say I'm only 12.5kg off now!!! Grin

A consideration on work capacity, training as often and heavy as I can is very good at flogging me mentally and developing toughness as well as helping me be absolutely sure of my ability... but doesn't lead to as much progression as I feel it would if the movements I have to develop were more isolated

This is why I make sure I cover a certain amount of ground weekly and if I get that done in 4 sessions that's fine by me... I am trying to learn from other strongmen and strength athletes what works for them and recovery should be a fundamental priority

Happy

Power cleans on the log, easy when you can power jerk them...

Mike, were is Sunday's training?

Hope you did lots of farmers and yoke.....they need hammering

Given your log, stones & load ability, solid placings on yoke/farmers and you'll be flying!
