Nice session check

St Ives I may well be absolutely wank... But that goes for everybody I guess

I'm not confident at all about my performance but it has an axle in it so maybe I will be ok on that

I said last year I wanted to do it and I'm continuing that commitment

Thanks Ben!

I have a pressing day nailed on I think, so to do the same with squats and pulling would be marvelous

Still you can't have everything

I hope your lifting is going well, from your avatar I can tell you'll do well Wink

I'm not doing anything of importance at the moment so I will log today's session..,

A quick note; I will be very unimpressed if my biceps make me unable to complete another competition...

I did some hammer curls today... Just a few to help them along before Saturday and now they both hurt, moreso the left again

Marvelous

Squats and lower body (ambitious I know!)

Always a gamble when your backs cabbagged, but after today I think it's on the mend and maybe I can put it behind me

Lol yeah right optimistic t**t

Back squats( paused for 5 seconds to make them harder without adding weight on my squashed column )

70x1
120x1

Then loaded 170kg and after chatting with Tom had an idea that paused front squatting may be an even better idea

Ok

Paused front squats

170x1
185x1

And without pain too... so I'm sticking with these before I start worrying about losing leg strength due to no squatting

A 200kg paused fronty is a good aim

Deadlift (Hooke grip)

70x1
120x1
170x1
220x1
240x1 easy enough

Hypers

1x30

Then carried on with some other stuff lower body orientated Happy

Calve raises

50x30
90x30
110x30

Leg press

1 set of ten just for a laugh with all the weight ste hinds had on, nearly burst a blood vessel lol

3x15 with 6 plates on ( will stick with this as the reps really helped my hip too aswell as my knees and quad strengthening. Winner )

Leg extension

57.5(3x20)

Dumbbell hammer curls

18x20

Glute Long hold stretches to fin

I have to rest now as I'm playing strongman on Saturday

240 was easy man.

do you stretch your biceps? sounds like they are tightened up and flare quickly?

Oh yeah and Bodyweight today was 102.8kg in the morning so that on the increase too Happy

Good to hear your niggles are sorted, nice bodyweight too! Happy

oo, nice fronts too, and an easy 240 deadlift is cool, I want one of those too.
I've just started putting some leg presses in too, hoping it may help deadlift off the floor? maybe...

Lol Joni assuming the worst, I injured them not long ago so improvement will complete within a month

My biceps are more flexible than yours which are BRITTLE!

I pulled them quite badly during that comp you couldn't get a day pass for is all

As it is I'm keeping tabs on how they react to training

Stretching them now after the trauma would probably be the worse thing I could do to aggravate the damage

I'm only mildly bothered because if I snag them again doing the 90kg weights at cheshires then it could affect my overall placing

We will see

The leg presses have made my back and hips feel better I feel after just getting up to go and have a poo

I will do them often, as well as max poos

For deadlift off the floor do stiff legged deadlift

Any squats stops be wasting away so I'm very pleased

New bodyweight is exactly what I've been aiming for for a good while so I'm pleased to be finally adding... My daily shake is doing me well that's my opinion

Bou should be fine with the novice level weights

Bicep injury is a great excuse to have in the bag in case comp doesnt go to plan. I used it succesfully at Yorkshires.

Just done the standard bicep flexiblity test... Off the scale!!!

If I'm at 80% of my best on the day I will be happy due to this injury
