Member. Member 2171, 1612 posts | I'm lactose intolerant and just use whey isolate, that seem's to not trigger anything off for me, where as normal whey can be bad.

Isn't whey protein pretty much lactose free anyway on the basis that the lactose is the sugary carbohydrate part of milk and whey protein is pretty much carb free???? As Mark indicates, if it doesn't trigger any reaction then why bother sourcing an almost definitely more expensive "lactose-free" branded version?

I just like chocolate milk before bed and at present add a couple of spoons of nesquik to my lacto free milk. I dont intend to replace protein shakes with chocolate milk, just wondered if there was a decent lacto free brand on the market?
