After squatting tonight I decided to try my knee wraps for the first time. Oyf are they meant to be so uncomfy? They felt completely weird/alien. And now my calfs ache like buggery. I only did one squat with them lol Happy

How best do I progress with them?

If they feel tight and uncomfortable you've probably got them on right. All i did was look on youtube for vids on how to put them on, and played about for what way suited me best.

They are meant to feel tight yeah, but if your calves ache you may have had them on too low. You'll get most benefit from the wrap on the knee and above rather than below.

I start with just one loop below the knee, then wrap upwards and finish in the middle. You don't need too much below the knee.

Thanks. I read on here once that Tom Martin knows he has the wraps on right if they make him bleed! (or words to that effect Happy)

I think they were too low, with a few loops below the knee. Cheers.

Andy bolton has done a vid about knee wraps and reckons you need at least two revolutions below the knee to protect the patella tendon.
