KFC as do a lot of big chains have some serious unethical practises going on with their animals, and as a result if nothing else is very low quality nutrient wise.

If you want some fried chicken, its not that difficult to make your own too.

But does unethical practices necessarily mean lower nutrient food? I think in most instances you'd be hard pressed to find any evidence of it.

I like KFC but was surprised to find out that it's often higher in fat than a similar alternative at macdonalds.

KFC is a franchise and the quality varies immensely from one to another.
If you find a good one it's actually quite tasty, although like yourself, I find my stomach does tend to feel a bit unsettled after it - probably the grease.
Also be aware that Asian owned franchises are Halal and taste very different as they can't use anything containing Animal Fat in the preparation and cooking.

On the "higher end" of ethical food. As in a mature pasture/woodland chicken that is well mineralized and you actually bother to use the bones in a stock or something. There would be a difference.

But what we are talking about here is convenient fried chicken and fried potato, not gonna be any difference if you made it at home in terms of nutrition. Even if you bought organic chicken & potatoes.

The type of fat used may make a difference to health in the long term, but that is clutching at straws.

Tastes ok at the time of eating but invariably makes me feel unwell afterwards. And it's not just the fat and salt content as other high fat, high salt meals like fish and chips don't have the same effect on me.

Must have had a lot of salt in it (and other s**te probably) as I feel really dehydrated even though I've tanked 3 pints of juice since I ate it!

Off to training now with 2l of fluids...

I love kfc! I go atleast once a week, can't go wrong with a streetwise feast, 6 pieces of chicken, 4 portions of fries and 1.5 litres of coke all full of fatty, salty, sugary goodness Grin
