Still have sore traps, forearms & biceps so know weight training. Maybe something light tomorrow.

Swimming x 30mins of slow lengths

Followed by jacuzzi and 15mins of stretching in the sauna.

First weight session back after Sundays comp.

Barbell curls - few sets to warm up arms - biceps still feeling tight

Deadlifts

Farmers hold
60kg x 20 secs
80kg x 20 secs
100kg x 15 secs

My grip felt good on the hold but my lats were fried. Good to have a mess about anyway.

Technique felt alot better on the squats, concentrated on having a tight mid-section and chest out. Will try 165kg for 4 sets next week.

After a weekend away with alot of alcohol consumed I had to do some form of training to sweat it out.

I was just glad to get a comp done. Looking at maybe doing another novice this year and try to build up my lifts over the winter.

Im on holiday next week but after that Il be down the gym regularly so if you need someone to train with, let me know.

Tuesday 13th September

Still stiff in my lats and front delts from the pressing on Sunday so did 20mins stretching and warming up with the bar before training.

Away for 2 weeks now so time to rest and get back training hard over the winter.

Trip was great. Managed to drive the £200 banger around Europe with only 1st, 4th and 5th gear. You have to get yourself to Octoberfest if you havent been already, unbelievable place.

Im planning on getting a good few months working on 4 sets of 2-4 reps on my working sets. Hopefully this will bring up all my lifts.

You still going to James's comp? Think il be coming along to that one

Tried some front squats but it just doesnt feel right.

130kg x 1 - elbows were hurting so left it there.

Did some light curls and 10mins cardio. Definitely more to come on the bench
