That was a different comp.
He bombed on deadlift at the 2008 BPC British Championship
He did 1000kg at the 2004 Irish Senior Powerlifting Championship

So why the hell is he not on the list...?!

Why will no one answer?

Grin

As an aside... massive well done Sam. You fat f**k. Plans to get shredded now....?

I can't answer that, he should be - He was the first guy to do it!

Probably because it was before Facebook/Instagram/YouTube so it can't have really happened

Ahhh, you should have said!

If there’s no video it can’t possibly be real.

I’m not even sure Glen Ross is real.

Now I’m questioning everything.

I always thought Ed would want to smash the powerlifting record. I guess the money isn't really there and he already achieved the goals he set out to do. I really do think he would total 1200 with just focusing on the big 3!

Arnold's had the biggest purse....it was never about prize money.

Perhaps, maybe he doesn't give a s**t about powerlifting. He knows he would break the record if he wanted to.

He did a push/pull in germany prior to hand injury.

Thor could potentially put something up big, but i just doubt he will do one either. Before Arnolds, ESM and WSM would be within a 2 month window and probably will continue like that. The Dubai comp now gives them something else to focus on and prize money will be better than any powerlifting comp.

Dimitar is the only strongman i can see doing damage in powerlifting in the near future.

Not 100% certain what he deadlifted at the push/pull. But I think I remember a 280 bench!

Ed will never have a massive strapless pull, and i dont think he could best Kyril on bench.

That said i do think he could total 1100 or so, which is a massive number. But i don't think he ever will as there is just no incentive.

I don't think maximum strength is his goal anymore.

Will he still compete at brits/uks?

I hope he does, always enjoy watching him even when I want others to win.

On another tangent, whatever happened to Ben Kelsey? He got 2nd to Ed not too long ago at UKs if I remember correctly.
