u think u had it bad at your gym, try training alone in a total fitness with about 40 thin blokes in vests doing different variations of curls all around you with adele playing on the speakers! Grin

Trained with Richard tonight our mini events night, wasnt planning on doing log til Saturday but couldnt resist tonight felt really good going into some singles.

Warm up

220x9M grip went, went thumbs out grip is not the way to go on this lol

130x4M PB just glad to get them up and moving tbh
120x12 felt solid and smashed my grip : )

Farmers frame medley

Frame 140x45M 1 run nice burner to finish me off, took the frame from end of yard back into tent so a bit of an obsticle course run lol

Felt good tonight despite the fails I know I can do the log now just need to commit to the lift more and get more legs into it, after looking at the video I was well off with log technique!! pushed outwards and slow press, ah well another attempt Saturday with MR Gates : ) frame is going to be a killer at the comp I hope to god its a high pick up or im f**ked lol

you will make a tremendous strongman because you train all sorts of stuff ,regular and hard !!!

i was wondering what your gonna do with all them tyres ? try n sneak them round the back of CS or take em with you ?

Hiya mate thats a great load of traing over the last week, I htought your log fails were down to maybe your strict pressing day or two before then I saw a 100kg in the list and looked ok!

I'll try to get down on the 16thHappy

ps you beat my farmers PB by 6kg a side and 0m..... haha

Thank u Mr Boar that means a lot : ) Im trying to get up there with you big men!

I will be moving all the tyres I reckon, all sounding good for August and a little comp on the cards too : )

Cheers Rodger, Ye im trying to get some graft in while im feeling up for it, im squatting tomorrow so that will be fun!
Ye think a bit of log was doing strict too close I should have stuck with the plan and done it saturday, will try again then though.
Farmers were s**te tbh a real struggle but was all grip why I failed, did a lot on Friday so maybe not recovered fully yet, just glad to get them up tbh : )

Be great to see you on 16th mate sounds like it will be our biggest ever session!!

110kg log attempt, upon veiwing the video it was further off than I thought, should have my head under the f**ker!! thats why Im missing lifts!!

Second attempt with smaller plates on, even worse lol happy with cleans though

220 frame carry, tried my thumbs out grip and failed epicly lol just hit my fingers and opened my hand up, will have to put some real graft in to get this at 260 in a medley! also please excuse the 15 seconds of floor humping lol

130kg Famers for about 4-5 metres, felt nails on grip after frame, so happy to get them moving though, was over moon with my few strides/wobbles haha and I got to do some more floor humping lol


Tonights mini events session, good but of practice : )

Good set of vids mate - that first 110kg log attempt I thought you were going to one motion it as the clean was INCREDIBLY fast! Happy

Thanks Rodger, ye clean felt miles easier may have been because it was on higher tyres?? Im just suffering with a leaning back on lock out problem my head should be right under log at that point and im leaning back for some reason, hope I can cure it, it only happens on heavier sets though...

I need to take notice of everything that people have problems with on log because mine is pure dire!!! - yeah i forget to pop my head through (as I do with pushies too)

Best way mate watch everyone and yourself too then try fix problems it's the only way : ) need to get head under bar to get full use of sholder, but u know what you mean it's easy to forget, I do it on strict sometimes!
