There's only one qualifying position so the Welsh representative at Britain's will be the country's best and after the UK's where Si johnston held his own all the way and into the final and Kelvin Gardner narrowly missed out on the final on count back, there are Welsh competitors worthy of chasing the qualifying position I feel.

Member 2830, 12 posts SQ 290, BP 180, DL 300 770.0 kgs @ 115kgs UnEq	to the guys questioning the quality of us welsh competitors....... wsm five years ago was a very low weight level compared to todays level, strength through determination comes on very quick and before you know it their taking over, much like the eastern block took over wsm from the scandinavians in the early 2000's. this might sound a bit like fighting talk in a way it is because im tired of reading patronizing comments made by english people it boils my f**king blood

I like the events though (although I'd like to see the runs 30m as opposed to 15m) Certain events have to be tailored for the current standard and TV aspect needs to be a consideration when selecting events and although 15m isn't a long run, at the UK's last year 440kg for 15m was too much for some. 400kg on Giants Live Finland was only about 20m I think and these are the world's elite so at a domestic level in Wales 400kg for 15 seems a fair distance in my opinion.

Apologies if the kegs are huge or awkward somehow We are trying to utilise what we own in Wales and a medley needs to be head to head for TV purposes so unless there is money available or kit that can be supplied by the Giants Live promoters, the weights may need to remain the same.
