Should be there already. Make sure that you are looking at the correct EM site. The dates are also included in the latest EM newsletter.

I'm looking at competing in the novices competition at Yardley Gobion. I'll be under 18. Is it unequipped? If not would there be a better competition to go to, it'll be my first ever meet. I'm from Northampton but should be able to travel to most places in the East Mids.

The novices competition would be an ideal first competition. It is an open event meaning that you can lift equipped or un-equipped.
If you enjoy the comp you could then do the "All England" at Moulton college.

Where are you training at present? You should come down to the Farm for a few sessions.

Following this afternoons East Midlands AGM the date of the East Midland Equipped competition has been changed from December 1st to November 17th.

This is to allow those hoping to compete for England at the Commonwealth Championships in New Zealand time to put in an appearance at Letchworth before flying out to Auckland.

Of course. Depending on the national event you are looking to qualify for, this years "CLASSIC" Seniors/Juniors or next years "OPEN" events.

Open/Senior British is to IPF rules, so single ply powerlifting equipment can be used.

Classic is uequipped lifting so only a belt is allowed. No knee wraps, suits or bench shirts.

When and where will entry forms for the All England be available?

I had a look on the EPF site and it seems a bit outdated, stuff on the All England page relates to the 2009 championships!

Entry forms should be online at the start of June, however I can confirm that the Classic will be on Saturday 17th with the Equipped on Sunday 18th.

There will be no entry qualifying standards with categories for all age groups from Sub-Junior to M4. Entry fee will be around 25 (still to be decided) with a discount for members of affiliated clubs. Fee will include the event t-shirt.

Furthermore, depending on the pricing negotiations, we are hoping to be testing at this years event.

Best stick to gunning for the open then i don't use suits or bench shirts but knee wraps are something of a must for me im afraid.
Still, first things first, Anglian open.

Also, how are the weight categories gonna be divided? Last Anglianopen i see went 100kg then 110kg,all the other comps go the standard 105kg then 120kg, i tend to weigh in at about 103 so i need to know what way to go diet wise.

It'll be 105 and 120. The weight categories changed last year.

As for the wraps, if you aren't bothering with a suit or shirt you're going to have a hell of a challenge on to keep up with guys in full kit. Either go all out and use as much kit as is allowed, or none at all IMO.
