Terminator | GBPF / BDFPA Question | 01-01-2013 @ 10:58
jerking is obviously great, Member 2521, 4712 posts SQ 235, BP 160, DL 290685.0 kgs @ 111kgs UnEq | How does the U23 age category work? Is it a case of an athlete can compete as an "U23" for the remainder of the calender year that they turned 23? So with myself being born in April 1991, turning 23 in April 2014, I can compete and potentially set records as an "U23" until 31st December 2014 ?

and the winning number is... 88! Member 647, 2048 posts SQ 222.5, BP 152.5, DL 242.5617.5 kgs @ 136kgs UnEq | The BDFPA is definitely your age on the date of the competition but I do believe the GBPF is your age on Jan 1st of that year.

At national comps you'll need to wear either a plain shirt or one with a GBPF or GBPF associate logo like an old GBPF competioin shirt or somthing. However if the gym / club is affiliated to the GBPF it will probably be okay. Best to take two or three shirts with just to be on the safe side.

Juniors at U23 and Sub-Juniors at U18.

Some people might even be keeping note of any records, however there is nothing on the CPF/EPF/IPF international scene for these age groups.
