fronty felt good. Cleans i am not happy about because i rather have a great sub max, than ugly max - at my current level. When the weights go up a bit i dont mind if my maxes are ugly.

Cheers wigan about the comment. The jerk was a bit of a funny one because it had maybe about a 30cm split in it lol! Maybe lacked bottle of going under it properly.

looking forward to wednesday already. Snatching, followed by 15 inch deadlifts! (hope my suit arrives in time)

always mate, always... Out of all strength athletes i have always had a soft spot for oly lifters, so it has been a long term dream of mine to be able to move some kind of weights in snatch and c&j. And i have no doubt it will help my strongman stuff.

Today, Adlington Barbell Club again.

Power Snatch

Things to remember: keep shoulders over bar longer, drive fast through legs, legs straighten before hips kick in

Snatch balance to full oh squat, and some pausing on bottom

whoah, may not look like a lot but legs were feeling jelly after this and i was covered in sweat Grin

deadlift suit didnt arrive, so have to go to the unit 20 comp all raw. This will change the game plan as i was quite hopeful suit would have helped me on the weakest part of the lift: the take off.

Single Arm Dumbell Press
1x50 - ok, will maybe nail a rep or two at the comp, who knows Grin Milsy dominated on this one.

Strict barbell shoulder press

fx95 - got it pretty high, but no gas to finish it

couple sets of rear delt work.

Friday: Unit 20 strongman. heavy session.

Yeah good session last night man. Those rack pulls look very strong and the snatches improved nicely as we went on.

The Bull is damaged.

Wednesday i was fine and normal. Thursday my lower back was a wee bit stiff, nothing to worry about.

Today it has been very stiff and painful.

Unit 20 training session cancelled, no training for at least 3 days. Ibuprofein, muscle relaxants, hot baths, mobility exercises are recruited. Fingers crossed this doesnt mess up the comp totally...
