Hence the almost. He had more completely boring fights against the easiest opponents he could get and made no attempt to dispatch them. He even admitted on a recent episode of Ringside that he would try to win on points unless you "antagonised him".

He ducked Benn for long enough until he needed a big pay day due to his unpaid tax bill. Eubank repeatedy makes claims to be a Warrior but in my opinion he was nothig more than a businessman who would have quit boxing in an instant if he could earn more money doing absolutely anything ele.

He never tried to knock anyone out after he nearly killed that guy. He just out boxed people

Personally I have no problem with that

Agreed. Was a different fighter post Watson...he admits that

Lots of people saying Flintoff get a pro license is a joke...not many saying why?

Mentally what happened to Watson must have been very hard for Eubank to come to terms with and would have thought was the reason why he chose to box the way he did.

I don't see why this is seen as a joke. A test batsman needs quick hands and feet, great balance and very good reactions. If he has guts and an innate ability to punch I think he has many of the attributes of a fighter, no one's saying he's the next Great White Hope.

I've been to plenty of professional and amateur fight shows and have seen pro heavyweights who looked far worse than Flintoff does already.

Agreed. I don't see why he shouldn't get a licence

Most journeymen heavyweights are in terrible shape and have had their brains scrambled umpteen times and they still get a licence

I'd bet a lot of money, if you put Flintoff in with Haye, he's throw at least 2 punches...which would be one more than Fraudley managed!

Anyone saying it's a joke is coming off as a bit clueless to me. There are some very, very bad boxers out there with pro licences. Flintoff would be the first to say he isn't going to be contending for any titles, he's in shape and has passed all the medicals so what's the problem? You don't have to be a world beater to participate in something.

My personal opinion is that he has put nothing into boxing to deserve a payday from it.

Has noone taught him to keep his chin down !!!!! LOL , any pro boxer worth anything would land an overhand right as soon as he threw that looping slowass left hook , poor lad . Fair play for having the balls to go in and have some fun tho

They did do work with a tennis ball under his chin in the first episode to help with this

That promo vid was taken early in his journey I think!?

I agree, its an insult to all those boxers who spend years training and fighting to become pros.

Lets look at this from another angle, lets say a celebrity decides to be a strong man and he enters a pro strongman event after 14 weeks of training, how would you all feel then?
