I reckon Ed may milk the record 1kg at a time, a bit like Big Z has done with the log record. Is there any financial reward for breaking the record? I think he'll do as you said without someone to really push him. Not sure if anyone is capable of it, especially as I think Shaw is unlikely to risk pulling at 100% an injuring himself.

Member 5256, 54 posts | It was Benni who Loz seemed to think could push him I think Eddie has a bit more of a show man side than Z so might go a bit more than 1kg but I think he'll know well enough to be somewhat cautious for the next few years at least

Wee Donnie Member 5605, 450 posts | if Edd keeps on beating his own records in deadlift like Z in loglift this will give him absolutely legendary status even if he keep on NOT winning anything big seriously hes probably the one of the strongest all rounders today, but still not a top contender in big strongman competitions

I hope that he only does this for a few years, would be a shame if he has the oppertunity do something that could stand as a record for many years to come, but never actually hits that number because he is pissing around breaking his record 1kg at a time. Of course at this level a severe injury could occur at any time and he might not be able to get back to his peak.

I agree, he probably would've put all 6 stones up as well.

Win in log, probably beat Thor at hammer. Too close to call really, I think whoever would have won between them it'd be by a few seconds overall
