Just to add to it, 200kg for reps in a qualifier or final is a good weight for u90kg.
I also no repped at London's Strongest Man last year in a squat and finished 2nd...I will be awesome at squats comes April 6th!

I'd say 200 is too heavy for a qualifier, fine for a final. If you can't squat 200 it's tough luck imo, I've finished last in every yoke I've done in comp, but that's Cuz I'm s**t at it, it wasn't light to other people

200 is the right weight to push under 90s further we can't have the same weight we did 2 yrs ago, that said that year we had a lot of big squaters in the north and most of which won't be doing it or won't be as competitive now

just to clarify, I never said 200 was too heavy. I said it was heavy (for a qualifier) but not too heavy. and I think the stats I quoted before bare that out. however, for me, 200 is at the top end of what I would consider right for a qualifier. with 180 being at the bottom end.

maybe the standard has drastically improved in the 18 months its been since esm 2012. I guess we will see in april!

Might be an idea to ask someone their reasons before calling them stupid.

It's like me calling you stupid for only deadlifting thus having a terrible log clean and press 1RM and poor moving event speed. Or calling you stupid for pulling PB'S before a comp instead of in a comp thus putting you at disadvantage. Or for using a terrible farmers walk implement on dodgy ground and breaking your toe which rules you out of euros. I'm sure you have your reasons, hence why I wouldn't want to call you stupid...x

Mostly just rude. Seems like I hit a nerve though. I will address your points though.
Pretty sure you have only logged 10kg more than me, I deadlift how much more than you? 60kg? I also press far more often in training than I deadlift. I won the farmers/duck walk medley at Welsh and came 2nd at the loading and the 3rd on the yoke/farmers/keg medley at Dragons. So much for being slow at moving. I like deadlifting heavy in the gym, it is stupid but it is also fun and I still won the deadlift event by a mile at dragons(which I knew I would so who cares). Breaking my toe sucked so I can't really come back to that...
