An enjoyable hour or so of nonsense ending in a pub with a whisky or two.
Good fun.

I've lived here for 7 years and I've never actually been on a ghost tour

Mary King's close was very disappointing, not a tour but similar. There is the dungeons too which is a chain I think. Same as York dungeons

the camera obscurer is on the royal mile, open till late, and awesome. Really enjoyed it

where are you staying? I can't recommend ghost tours but can suggest other trips/places to eat etc

Cheers Drew , we are either staying at the Thistle hotel off the A8 near Haymarket or we may have a private flat near Princes st ,just waiting on the wifes friend to let us know if its free that week.

I went with my Lass Bro sis in law and it was great

if you have a fancy camera take it as you get some cool photos with a long exposure on some of the exhibits

Not been on any of the ghost tours but the Witchery by the Castle does some top-notch grub!

My dads cousin runs this tour, it's brilliant! Gruesome and funny at the same time, Adam Lyal is a good lead character very informative with Burke and Hare story. I'd reccomend for a wee trip!

I'd go with the kitchin over martin wisharts, much the same in that it's nae cheap but you get what you pay for.

As far as ghost tours, I went on one last time we were down, can't remember which company it was but it was a decent enough way to spend an evening, down in the closes and such. I would also recommend the museum if you like that sort of thing.

You would be mistaken

I've been to the kitchen 3 times and wisharts 5. It's simply just better, knocking on the door of a second star, the kitchen isn't

Agree to disagree I guess, I've been to both and preferred kitchin, suppose it comes down to personal preference to some extent. Don't get me wrong both are excellent though.
