Strength is there but my technique fell apart. I spoke to a guy who works there (he is an utter monster with close to 30 years of experience too) and he told me to drop back, re-affirm my technique and come back in time to the bigger weights. He also told me to "stop f**king benching!" which made me chuckle | ||

Deadlifts 100kgx3 140kgx4 180kgx8-PB-felt good for 10-12 reps, just didn't see the point in going all out and knocking next weeks training back. DB Rows 50kgx10 Had to mess about with an adjustable DB for more 60kgx1-plates fell off and couldn't be bothered taping them on That was is. Short but got some work in | ||

I really can't wait! I seem more easily agitated when I'm not training. I have some high goals for this year (high for me anyway) #Deadlift 300kg #Strict Press 100kg #Squat 230kg without knee wraps I'm not setting any real bench goals simply because, when ever I start pushing the bench, I screw up my shoulder. I will be using close grip paused bench as assistance to my strict press. | ||

If this continues, I'll make anorexic teens look huge! Standing Strict Press only worked up to 50kgx8-easy enough though form was terrible! Seated DB Press worked up to 30'sx8-again easy enough DB Lat Raises 17.5's for 3 sets 8/10/6 Machine Rear Delt Fly worked up to 3/4 of the stack for 15 reps I didn't have time for any extra tricep work as I had to come back home to get ready for work later this afternoon and eat | ||

Block Pulls (mid shin) 100kgx2 140kgx1 160kgx1 180kgx1-fast Lower back was toast by this point so missed out on good mornings Hammer Strength Row per side 40kgx10 60kgx8 70kgx8 T Chest Supported Row 40kgx12 40kgx10 Letting my back round at the bottom of every rep before pulling to chest again. DB Hammer Curls 17.5'sx4setsx8-12reps Huge strength drop off, I'll have to scale everything back and build up back to where I was before I start to hunt for PB's. | ||

I have been doing front squats instead, then had Christmas off. Assistance Day High bar, oly squats Barx10 60kgx5 70kgx3 80kgx3 90kgx3 Nothing remotely hard, need to get used to squatting again as flexibility felt shocking and groin felt tight Leg Press (paused each rep at bottom) 2platesx10 6platesx10 8platesx10 Seated Cable Rows 70kgx10 80kgx10 90kgx10 DB Shrugs 57.5kgx2setsx10 Calf Raises 5setsx10 EZ Bar Curls 30kgx2setsx10 -Reverse Grip 2setsx8 Nothing hard, just getting in some work and will slowly build up to some half decent weights. | ||

Injury wise, everything is feeling pretty good. My time to train is limited by my shifts at work which isn't ideal. The problem at the moment is simply. I don't know what to train for. I don't know if I want to head back towards powerlifting or try my hand at u90kg strongman. All I know at the moment is, that I need to build a foundation and get back towards my best numbers. I think for a while I won't update my training log, simply because it's going to be boring reading and will only remind me of how much strength I have lost. I will hopefully be back posting in here in the near future. | ||

You may well have a point, but until I work out what I'm aiming for ect, then I see no point in my posting. I may have another crack at powerlifting or decide stones and logs look more fun. Then again, I've never been good at working out when to peak ect so I may become a youtube warrior lol | ||
