Did a fair few sets of push press went upto 120/130 then had a couple of attempts at 140. Pressing felt great but my clean was a bit off. 24.11.14 Week 8 of Ed Coan's deadlift routine. Coming down with a cold or something and have my daughter going into hospital tomorrow so head wasn't really in it probably going to have to have another cracking at this week. Off floor deadlift 160 x warm up 260 x 1 280 x 1 310 x 1 (310 is ugly and I was supposed to do 2 but it's my heaviest deadlift for ages so should be happy) Did some totally raw deads after this but kept thingsfairly light | ||

Started with a strongman session down at vulcan. Log (strict) 60 x 3 warm up sets 80 x 3 90 x 3 110 x 1 120 x 1 120 x 1 130 x fail 120 x fail Log (push) 90 x 3 110 x 3 120 x 1 120 x 1 18 inch axel deads off blocks 105 x 3 145 x 3 185 x 3 225 x 3 265 x 2 305 2 x 1 (close to doubling it each time) Struggled for energy to do having not trained for nearly two weeks, getting no sleep and eating badly. Finally training for a clear head so going to improve for definite! | ||

Managed to get a strapless deadlift PB out of nowhere whilst feeling really under the weather. Taken this time to come up with training plan that's going to focus more on my weaknesses.
