Hall looks significantly faster, both on his feet and hand speed on his recent training vids compared to that ponderous outing. can’t see past Hall if they fight properly.

I thought Thor looked ok. Not being a boxer and all that. Seemed to be making an effort to actually box, rather than just going out swinging.

Didn't appear to be blowing much either.

2 thumbs up.

I did not know he was a southpaw.

He needs to learn to jab. With that god almighty reach and weight, he could just stand behind a southpaw jab - and not even other southpaws like southpaw jabs - and box Hall up.

You beat me to it.

If I were his trainer it would be defence and jab work, and how to lean down in clinches.

I too was a Right handed southpaw.

The very worst type.

Are you a right-handed batsman?

Depends on the bowler

Absolutely sickening.

Kudos.

That is one of the most unsettling things for a bowler, when a player can switch between balls.

Its definitely not going to sell me on buying the pay per viewTongue

Thor's attacks were way too slow to catch a pro boxer. Not sure Eddie will be dancing out of range quite so easily.

I thought Thor’s movement and engine was quite good for this stage of his boxing career. I think he’ll beat Hall

Thor is going to beat the brakes off Eddie.
He has understanding of distance and timing and cutting off the ring.

Regardless of what you think you saw (of course he doesn't LOOK like a fighter), those skills are absolutely foundation to build on.

We aren't comparing him with anybody except Eddie. Or rather, shouldn't be.

I don't dislike Eddie but his boxing, as far as (both of them) novices go, is less novice than Thor.

Thor was impressive, didn't gas out and had good foot work. Less sloppy punches once he relaxed as well. I think by September he'll be very good for a newbie

He was very heavy footed after 30 seconds.

He needs, in my very humble opinion, to drop some weight and spend time on the mitts and skipping rope.

But, Eddie is the embodiment of two heels on the floor at all times.

He's working on it it seems, he's almost down to 150kg which I think is the minimum they're allowed to weigh in at
