Thor fighting Simon Vallilyon 28 May. Good for Vallilyon getting the pay day, but imagining Thors ringcraft in the ring with an Olympic Medalist is embarrassing for the sport.

Alex Simon, pulled out due to thorn bicep. At least that was a proper freaks of strength fight.

Vallily medalled at the Commonwealth but still a great achievement.

It isn't an embarassment to the sport. He isn't a professional boxer. It is exhibition. If they gave Thor a professional license, then it would be ridiculous.

Is it just me or did Thor look like complete crap the other night?

I’ve long thought Thor seems to be taking a much better approach to prep than Eddie and obviously he has some natural advantages but beginning to wonder if he just doesn’t have the personality for it. Maybe Eddie will smash him after all.

He was obviously frustrated by a better fighter dodging his best efforts. The giant haymaker turned fall for example. Hopefully the Hall-Thor fight wont be such a mismatch.

I think it's always going to be difficult to look good against a seasoned pro. I think any decent professional athlete would make both Eddie and Thor look crap in any sport, just like they'd both make other athletes look weak in all but a few exceptions.

One thing I do know, from what I've seen, is that Thor is still going about his training in the right way whereas Eddie just seems to be f**king about beating his mate Paddy up. Obviously, we've no idea what's going on behind the camera's but my money is on Thor.

I don't think you can judge how someone fairs against a professional

I've sparred with a trained boxer and I honestly couldn't land a punch, he was bobbing up and down back and forth and I had no chance

Fighting is not boxing

My money's on Thor still

Thors prep IS smarter, but in my experience with two novices, aggression often over rides that level of skill.

It sounds awesome and nice to mix things up a bit. Maybe it’ll be s**te, hopefully not.
