Good work Ed, looks like there's more there too... s**t! How can you be beat? Either by 48kgs or 47kgs and ... the mind boggles! Either way I'll make sure I warm up for my next attempt!

tried my new "do win" chinese weightlifting shoes ,which the wife got me for christmas,today what can i say about them , I was the most comfortable under the bar I've ever felt,I've squatted 4 times since I was injured ,the heaviest being 80 5x5 which had felt pretty tough ,today i managed;
front squat barx5 30x5 40x5 50x5 60x5 70x5 80x5 90x5 100x2 105x2 110x2 100x3 100x3 100x3 and it all felt good! not too shabby considering my pb's are 110x3 and 120x1
unfortunately the first time I put them on the metal clip which the velcro straps tightn around snapped in two so they're going back to pullums and I'm dobbing an extrx £20 in for some iron works!

also did bor 60x12 70kx10 80kx8

trained at the farm in Northampton tonight good to see lurkio and Finch from this
site and the rest of the farm lads.

back squat 70kx5 110kx3 120kx3 120kx3 back said no it was'nt ready for back squats so I swapped to front squats
front squat 70kx3 80kx3 90kx3 100kx3 110kx3 110kx2 failed3rd 100kx3/3/3
bor 60kx10 80kx8 100kx5
dumbell curl 12.5kx12 15kx10

Lurkio did some great looking squatting and Finch hit a new front squat pb and looked like he could have doubled it!and at the end SPOLA fever took over the farm.

I drove home cursing myself for being a t**t as my back is very sore now if i was going to do back squats I should have just done some very light ones ,when will I learn to ease my way back in!

Definately stick to lifts and weights that do not aggrivate the injuries Ed. Stick with it and they will all come good in the end.
You should consider the year of your 40th birthday the target year for getting everthing right.
And get up the Farm more regular, at least once a month.

doubt ,I'll make it up once a month to be honest ,but I'm going to try and make it up more than last year.

back pretty sore this morning so I didnt bench today just did a bit of triceps.

the patio was a cold and lonely place tonight ,came out to find my weights were frozen to the concrete,had to hit them with a hammer to break the ice!

front squat 102.5k 3/3/3
paused box front squat 82.5k 3/3/3
bent over row 60k 12/12/12

dumbell curls 12.5k 15/15/15
supersetted with
good mornings barx20/20/20

the only pb today was the ammount of clothes I was wearing,swapped to the box squat because i was struggling to hold onto the bar ,it kept slipping on my coat!
hat pb as well as i wore 2.
