There is a video of this feat.Wildauer was the first Person to say that Z could strict press 240 x 2.
Because z has shown him a video of this on his mobile phone.
I hope he will upload it one day

Surely 240 x 2 proper strict would equate to a 250+ log? I'm sure the set happened, but I'm visualising it as a 'flick of the legs, big lean back and maintaining tension for the 2nd rep' kind of thing.

Jay describes himself as a "feats of strength guy". I've seen him twice in person. Really nice guy.

To me Jay is an odd lifter, some who performs ridiculous feats of strength in difficult exercises, such as fronties and circus dumbell.
but he had competed at a decent level in SM, and is the British SHw drug free bench king I believe???

Cheers. First name rings a bell. Believe I may have seen him going for some huuuge (equipped?) benches at a PL comp in Wales a few years back.

Ah, OK. I think the guy I was thinking of went by the (user)name of Jayatlas on the powerlifting.co.uk site. I vaguely remember reading in his log that he reckoned he was the UK's biggest raw bencher at the time. I remember he warmed up to 240 raw on the day of that comp in Wales. -The guy was huge. I remember thinking he was the biggest guy I'd ever seen apart from Glen Ross.

Does anybody know who he is by any chance?

For me ed is best log presser in the country right now. Hixxy is a great presser along with laurence but imo ed is strongest. You have to base it on results from comps. Ed has done 191 in comp which is more than any other brit. Just to explain I'm not saying anyone is bulls**tting about training lifts just they're done in perfect conditions.

My best in comp 180
Best in training 192.5

Technically my best lift is 180

Completely agree with the above post. What do you think Ed could do at the moment Terry? 210? Is there any truth in big zs 240 for 2 strict?

I can understand why someone would want to ignore me, but just thought I'd mention it in case there was a systems failure Grin

obviously Z is a lot stronger with a barbell or axle press than with log.
he stricted a couple of years ago the 210kg axle for 2. and this year he got a 200kg x 4 log at the arnolds
