I heard it contains "healthy" saturated fats and it can be added to shakes or drunk raw to the get the calories in.

Or is this bro science at its best?

Olive oil is largely monounsaturated fat and has a HOST of health benefits.

Why would this be bro science??

Saturated fats ARE healthy as part of a balanced fat intake. To try and completely exclude them from your diet is as bad as taking in too many.

For years we've been told to avoid saturated fats and eat more polyunsaturated fats. Now many experts claim saturated fats actually aren't bad for you after all and we should not be consuming the artificially produced vegetable oils and spreads, but would be far better off with butter and lard.

I have no idea how the average man or woman on the street is suposed to know what is right or wrong to eat.

how does it actually taste in shakes though? i can only imagine that a peanut butter, milk, whey and olive oil shake would be horrid!!

with all the milk, steak and eggs i consume, i'm pretty sure my saturated fat intake is well above the recommended level, so wouldn't olive oil saturated fats make the situtation even worse?

if you wanna gain wieght

get a large stuff crust pizza soak olive oil into it you will be surprised how much the pizza soaks up then add 1 tin of tuna and some more cheese throw on a pot of sour cream and there you go you got calories for days

as for taste? depends how committed you are to gaining wieght

i went from 76kg to 105+ in the space of about 18months so i know a few good tips and once you got the mass there your lifts will go up just dont let your body fat go too high
