Just wanting opinions and help if possible!

Doing europes strongest woman in november and i want/need a deadlift suit as theyre allowed in the car deadlift.

Problem is im a 175kg 6'3" lifter so any advice on where to get a big sized adjustable deadlift suit?

Searched facebook groups and ebay and nothing anywhere near big enough for sale haha!

Second hand isnt an issue, ideally need it to be cheap as possible as been travelling to a lot of comps recently and moneys a bit tight!

Thank you! Happy

Honestly you're not gonna find one to fit you properly second hand. Metal do custom made suits for not much more than off the rack ones and the delivery was very quick. But they are close to 200 quid. Might be worth trying to borrow one if you know any big strongmen.

I may have a king deadlifter that would potentially fit you.

Thanks for the advice!

200quid is just more than we can afford to realistically spend right now on something i might not even be able to wear again or at least for a long time!

I might have to ask around and see if anyone might have one to borrow!

Thanks again

Honestly wouldn't bother if it is a rep event.

Any strength gains from the suit will be massively outweighed by the inability to breathe. Unless you need the suit to get more than 3 reps it will likely be more of a hindrance than a help.

I second this. Deadlift suits makr breathing harder then the lift

Problem is its 220 which as im not the best deadlifter in the world is a challenge. Its from 15 to 17 inch so wouldnt need to get down to the floor and adjustable would mean i can adjust so im not dying from being breathless so think its worth trying one at least in training Happy

In that scenario the suit makes no difference. Suits help get a bar moving off the floor, from 17" the suit is adding nothing at all.

Not necessarily. I can get a fair amount out of a suit from that height at 6'7". At least 25kgs.

Disagree. Client got 40kg out of a suit on Silver Dollar especially with adjustable straps.

It does if youre over 6ft 3, even if it's on fairly looseish if it helps me get another couple reps id be happy and its worth trying to see if it works personally for me rather than not knowing

I've never tried a deadlift suit but I would assume if the suit wasnt adjustable this would be the case but adjustable I would think it could help. Maybe take a lot of f**king about to get it right. When we get back from natty world's the plan is to add 10kg a side to the car deadlift setup at break the bar each set till she gets to a toughish set of 5 so will get lots of practice in (just on the car deadlift setup for a start). Only done front bar car deads once before the other day, felt weird as f**k.

You have a competition next month and need a suit - have you considered the fact that it's not something you can just pop on, and it is something that needs to be learned?

On a more helpful note, there used to be a ton of 2nd hand stuff for great prices, I THINK on powerliftingwatch, but they have since changed the website and I can't seem to find any 2nd hand stuff for sale. I have sent you a friends request on the book of faces, and sent the classifieds section to you as a message on there.
