right been moving thus the lack of update.

friday workout:

did up to 135kg on shrugs

110kg on bent rows

did my pullups

hammercurls did up to 35kg

barbell curls worked up to 70kg


Todays training...

(1st rep is clean) axle press:

1 x 8 @ 60kg
1 x 3 @ 70kg
1 x 3 @ 75kg
3 x 2 @ 75kg

waited 5 mins

axle clean & press for 90s

1 x 10 @ 60kg

bent press with axle (35kg):

1 x 0 Doh
1 x 1

Fin

Conclusion:

a poor day realy but then it takes time...

the bent press was very hard. I have only done this with normal barbell or a kettlebell.

My technique is quite poor on this but i hope i can get some pointers and improve it!

the nice guys at ironhistory gave me some good advice on the bent press - they tell me my video is of a side press not a bent press i need to go much lower! ah well will have another pop thursday!

Ok had a head injury on monday (i smashed my forhead/left temple on a corner of a shelf) I havent been feeling right since then but i thought things were getting better but after trying the squats i felt funny so i had to change the session some what to avoid a problem.

Olympic squats:

1 x 5 @ 80kg
1 x 5 @ 115kg
3 x 2 @ 145kg felt pounding pain in my head and it was putting me off the lift

Front squats:

1 x 8 @ 55kg
1 x 8 @ 70kg
1 x 6 @ 80kg
1 x 6 @ 95kg

right this was getting freaky training partner said i looked terible and my head was bobbing like i was going to pass out. :lol

I did some pullups with a towel for 3 x 10 reps.

Dumbell swings:

1 x 3 @ 27.5kg
1 x 2 @ 40kg bit ragged but got there.
1 x 3 @ 35kg

Bent press (barbell):

6 x 1 @ 20kg

Fin

Conclusion:

s**t night, felt terible.

its so annoying i was setting up my tv in the new house and theres a shelf above the tv my head came up after pluggin in the leads and BAM lol.

got my 40kg kettlebell from newitts

ITS A MONSTER!

lol i managed to clean it after doing my version of powerstairs (had to get it to the house as the delevery man was nearly dead takeing it up the path.)

but i wasnt pressing it today, it will take some getting used to.

I think its going to be great fun light rows, swings (they are funny hopefully i dont lose my grip on them otherwise its likely to fly out of a 3rd story window to the street bellow!)

looks like i will need to get the 32kg one for practiceing the overhead pressing. humm will get that next month i feel.

seriously anyone that can press that bad boy has great overhead strenght (not a jerk ofcourse that would be far easyer). it will be my chalange item anyone that can lift it above there heads gets a free bottle of farm cider.

Todays training:

yesterday i found out i got a infection in a cut on my wrist so now im on antibotics and feeling funky.

(unoffical)

a power steps with the kettlebell up 3 flights of stairs (from the yard to my porch then up the stairs).

at the gym

Seated shoulder press:

1 x 10 @ 20kg
1 x 0 @ 45kg hurting my wrist and piss weak.
4 x 8 @ 35kg

Standing press with machine press (very similar set up to a viking press):

1 x 6 @ 125kg
1 x 3 @ 140kg
1 x 2 @ 150kg
1 x 2 @ 140kg
1 x 2 @ 130kg

Close grip bench press:

1 x 5 @ 70kg
1 x 3 @ 110kg
2 x 2 @ 120kg WHAT!
1 x 9 @ 90kg oohhh the shame

Dumbell bench press:

4 x 8 @ 35kg

Tricep press down:

4 x 10 @ stack

lateral rases:

1 x 2 @ 17.5kg DAM
1 x 2 @ 15kg double DOH
3 x 10 @ 10kg

Conclusion:

some explanation is needed.

The gym was packed full of wa**ers tonight, useing all the stations i wanted. and they were going nowhere fast.

thus the push press with the barbell i wanted to do was impossible.

Your also notice that the dumbells were very light tonight or silly heavy, the reasion the mentaly retarded bouncer had bent the welded collars of the 40kg dumbell and broke it aparently and also f**ked up the 35kg dumbells so there was a gap between the end plate and the weights that pinched my skin! very painfull!!!!

the gym woman said it was the the fella dropping the weights and i said why dont you guys ban them then its not even heavy dumbells and to be fair a guy 17 stone shoulc be able to control the weights especialy with a spotter.

the desk woman asked why i didnt just use the heavyer dumbbells like before her words were "why dont you use your usuall weights then?" and i had to admit i was weak from the antibiotics...

anyway the only good thing to come out of this was a PB on the pesudo viking press.

Conclusion:

Not a bad workout i supose the antibotics were doing funny things to my body yet again and what should have been easy was hard and what should have been hard was easy (front squats).

Im a bit frustrated with myself that i was a retard and didnt wear a proper t-shirt for front squats it was one with no arms again so it was harder to control. never mind a lesson learned again lol.

it was very quiet tonight 80% of the workout it was just me and the training partner in the gym.

Conclusion:

was still a bit weak from the antibotics but its the last day tommorow horray!

saw the doc today and had my bp mesured they had to use the fat bas***d cuff so i was well cuffed and that was close.

i had 137/77 so the doc said that was fine.

there was a guy at the gym tonight watching my miltary press variation and says to the pt "why dosent he use a smith machine..."
my training partner laughed alot.

that variation is mental - with the back straight the bar ends up infront of the body (otherwise it would hit the head then back!)

it makes you reconsider the figures of the oldtimers doing it like that thats mental shoulder strenght.

not a bad workout.

havent done much training but just having a good time.

this place is bulking heaven all the foods organic and cheap. literaly 8 chicken breasts, a bottle of vodka, bread, 3 types of cheeses and 4 types of salami, cake and some crackers, skome dumplins cost 59zloty (thats just over 12 quid). and that was enough for me, and the wife for lunch and dinner.

(obvious the vodka was to share lol)

but seriously its very good hear for the food, me and the wife went to a top notch resturant and had duck blood soup (that was 2 pound each) then our mains were the most expensive on the menu and it cost less than 10 pounds each (i had wild boar neck and the wife had veal fillets). add to that a drink and it was a exelent lunch.

the vodka here is seriously mental, its about 19-30zloty for a decent bottle. so about 4-7 pounds.
and its realy smooth. I later found out that we were drinking moonshine (or there equivlant) the other night it was about 70% proof! luckly i didnt have to stand up for a while.

needless to say that even in the club the most expensive drink was about 40zloty (thats about 9 pounds and it was champaigne) lol the night out cost me about 20 pounds to have a meal at the bar (a chicken curry) and 7 drinks (mostly mixes).

anyway its a seriously good time and the women are crazy good looking here!

im just about to get a winter weather coat new for about 11 pounds lol its very good for shopping here my wife is well chuffed and has shopping feaver already.

Hopefully I will be back in the uk in a few days and back to training, but i will miss all the good food here and especialy the prices!!!

its very cheep hotel is like 30 pounds a night for a realy nice one.

i meen a 3 bedroom flat will cost you 100 quid a month here.
