I did a 3:20m/1000m on 8th October 2020. 1:39 aver pace.and a 31 stroke per min rate. I've even got a picture of it but uploading it is beyond me these days Confused

Little speed. Big milestone. Watched some C2 videos on YT last night. They advised slowing down to 20 strokes pm. I did. It was still hard (fnarr fnarr) but I finished strong (yuk yuk). Not messed up the leader board just yet . Yay.

Well done.

20spm should be your slow steady training sessions like 30minutes and beyond keeping your HR down to 70/75% of max.

If you did the 2k @20spm I reckon you could take another 30 seconds off that with a free rate. 36spm is not unheard of for 2k TT.

Do the same session @26-28spm I would be surprised if your HR was not considerably lower.

I plan to do a half marathon before the end of the month, and I'm definitely not going further than that. Grin

There is only 1 guy who posts in here who could take you on over that distance, really you should be looking past the tired old normal height gents of sugden and challenging the fellow giants who can knock 9k+ in 30 minutes.

However I will issue you a challenge
