Food - no different.

Training - as per normal, tweaked slightly to suit the comp.

At least 5 days of rest.

food :
i increase carbs 2-3 days out normally just adding like a large flapjack to each meal or some more rice. plus i will drink extra water. (plus i dont need to weigh in so not watching the scales.

last heavy session 7 days out might do 2 light sessions in this 7 days but nothing to taxing

the morning of the comp when i wake up 5-10gram of ceatine washed down with full fat coke
30-40mins later big bowl of porridge and 6 scrabbled eggs. then lets go

well ive done four comps and tried slightly different approaches each time, but this one has worked best for me...

not changing anything training wise... going heavy right up until 2 days before.... eating the same but adding extra carbs 3-2 days out.... then on the day smashing red bull, jelly babies, jaffa cakes etc... although i did over do this once and the come down from sugar was awful i literally had to lie on the floor

Would agree with most of this except the red bull bit as I have found that to much caffeen has a negative effect. But having a couple of bananas abd jelly babies handy with a couple bottle if powerade and water will be better from my experience.

Well there must be something you're anxious about?

Doing well?
Spectators?

You've got to pin down the reason and find a way to get over it
