Hello

I recently tried buying a new coat and came across a number of problems I wondered if other people came across.....

I bought a XXL jacket off ebay only to find it was far too tight around the shoulders and chest (why have they made sizes so small is it for skinny people to feel hench!?). So I sent it back and gave Jacamo a try (yes I admit I did it) and got a jacket that fit across the shoulders but is far too baggy around the stomach!!!!

Do clothes designers believe that everyone is just skinny or fat? That no-one can have wide shoulders and a smaller waist (I have wide-ish shoulders and in all honesty a slight gut but still the jacket was HUGE!). And also why does a jacket have to be XXXL to fit me? Why does a Xl seem like it should be a medium to me?

Anyway just ranting because I'm pissed off I have to take the fecking jacket to a tailors and thought I'd share

Grin

I'm a Cadburys mis-shape; nothing (well almost nothing bar sports tops & joggers from Sports Direct and 44/46 long jeans from Slaters) fits me off the shelf

Even though I hate to admit it; Jacamo has quite a good range and 8/10 times the stuff fits me well

Main problem is if you're not fat with a huge gut; most XXL/XXXL stuff they sell is far too big everywhere else bar the top/collar and sleeves!

I don't really have a problem with clothes - I'm 5'8'' and 135kg or thereabouts, 40'' waist 28'' inside leg on work trousers and 18.5'' collar sainsburys shirt - sainsburys do nice fitting tapered shirts for a tenner haha.

I think branded clothes are normally fitted i.e. slim fit which is when problems can arise.

errrrm - yeah me too Grin Roll-Eyes

Main problem is if I buy clothes that fit me round shoulders and chest it invariably means it xxl and so looks like I'm wearing a dress! (Calm down Adam I don't wear dresses so don't text me again for pictures!)

If i buy one that it rigth length and doesn't look like big daddy's worn it then i look like I've been nicking kids clothes!

Yep; shirts that look like Kaftans Grin

Decent shirts from the likes of TM Lewin and Charles Tyrwhitt fit fine but casual shirts that only come in XL, XXL etc never fit right!

Even the Jacamo shirts that go up to 6XL (f**k; XXL on me looks stupid and I'm 6ft 4)! How BIG are you to fit in 6XL?!?!

I've had a few shirts from here

http://www.tailor4less.com/en-uk/

Simply fill in all your measurements and a couple of days later a properly fitting shirt arrives

Have you thought about losing some weight and joining the 120kg class?
