Does f*ck all for SugdenBarbell.co.uk Member 1, 7173 posts SQ 182.5, BP 110, DL 205497.5 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq Administrator | Source: http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/node/5313#comment "IPF suspensions continue to roll in from 2006 with the release of the latest suspended lifter list. Audunn Jonsson of Iceland tested positive at the IPF World Championships in November. That moves American Tony Cardella up from the bronze to the silver medal position in the 275 class. Great Britain's Clive Henry moves up to receive the gold medal." Suspensions list: LINK

Walk your talk Member 5, 25557 posts Administrator | Post Edited: 23.06.2007 @ 22:03 PM look at the f**kin size of the suspension list !!do they test every lifter ? if not then we can assume a similar % of lifters who arent picked for testing would also fail ???

still a cock Member 55, 1213 posts SQ 50, BP 25, DL 55130.0 kgs @ 0.1kgs UnEq | haha well people are always going to cheat ....a lot of which were women as well....but also take note, that the results were from different comps not just the one. Can't believe it has taken this long for clive to be confirmed as champ, well done to him.

not particularly well educated Member 85, 10986 posts SQ 170, BP 130, DL 260560.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | looks like a great advert for non testing feds!

Walk your talk Member 5, 25557 posts Administrator | suprised to see kutcher on there In a perfect world, tested feds would have the $$ to test every elite lifter so there would be no speculation. the non tested feds use the $$ on monolifts and loud music. must be fairly easy to spot a lady on the meds ?

I am a bench-only guy Member 3, 10034 posts SQ 185, BP 175, DL 235595.0 kgs @ 140kgs UnEq Administrator | Actually, there's a sense in which it is a great advert for the non-IPF feds. If you look at those suspensions and bans, an enormous number of them are under 14.9 and 10.11. That's competing in a non-IPF comp, or against a suspended lifter. I think most of us feel those rules ought not to exist in the first place.

I am a bench-only guy Member 3, 10034 posts SQ 185, BP 175, DL 235595.0 kgs @ 140kgs UnEq Administrator | He's there. Lifetime ban for competing against banned lifters. Absurd.

Scotbasher - forever Member 59, 2115 posts | I'm 99% sure that Ed Coan was given a ban for doping offences (more than one), I understand he tried to sue the IPF on one of those ocassions. He was so far ahead of every other lifter at the time did he really need to cheat?

I am a bench-only guy Member 3, 10034 posts SQ 185, BP 175, DL 235595.0 kgs @ 140kgs UnEq Administrator | Yeah, Coan was banned for doping, which I wouldn't defend for a moment. It was Kutcher I was referring to.

Old Age Presser Member 75, 7731 posts SQ 0, BP 200, DL 200400.0 kgs @ 105kgs Eq | Rick, what does 14.9 say? The docs I can access only go up to 14.5. Can't imagine there's a ban on competing in other feds per se, because lots of guys compete in WDFPF and IPF. Or have I committed a heinous sin by doing both? Interesting that the bans on lifting where banned persons are present includes officials, not just lifters.

Walk your talk Member 5, 25557 posts Administrator | I think banning someone for competing against banned lifters is a joke, WTF , if someone wants to juice in a tested fed and get banned, well fool them, but if a guy just wants to lift and happens to compete in a comp for another fed where the other guy is, dont get all hissy , look after your own shop. I believe brian bacheldor said that there are no banned lifters currently lifting in the BPC so its ok for a BWLA lifter to have a stab.

I am a bench-only guy Member 3, 10034 posts SQ 185, BP 175, DL 235595.0 kgs @ 140kgs UnEq Administrator | 14.9 Participating in Non-IPF Competition Any lifter, coach, referee or official who competes or participates in an international Powerlifting or Bench Press competition not organised, sanctioned or approved by the IPF shall not be permitted to take part in any IPF international or regional competition for a period of 12 months from the date of that non-approved competition. (Quoting http://www.powerlifting-ipf.com/IPF-Const2001.htm - it's not a doping rule.) So you're OK as long as you don't go to Euros or anything, Martin.
