What have you found to be the best means of cleaning atlas stones?

Ours have been laying outside without a home for a long time, and we have gotten them inside now, but they are filthy, dusty etc. Apart from the filth and crap they have gathered there seems to be some degradation of the outer concrete, making them more dusty.

I am looking to clean them, but wondered what people have found to be the most successful.

Also, everywhere else I have cone, the stones seem to be surprisingly clean and dust free, any tips on keeping them that way?

But don't get to close to the stones with the jet or have it on too powerful.

This wouldnt work well before training stones tho would it - wet stone = heavy and slippy.

i think if we can get them clean first and all the s**t off them and let them dry out. i think we should get them covered and off the floor. and also seal the stones with a concrete sealer.

i have a power washer but my future brother in law has one of the big power washers that heats you the water so i could ask him if we could borrow them.

the other thing we could do is to add some rubber matts the the wooden sheets we put down last night.

I have a pressure washer too, I am not sure that we need the heating up kind, just need all the crap off. Possibly try it at the weekend.

Will sort something to keep them off ground, and get a sheet to cover them. Will try and find time to get mats for dropping them on.

I presume they will just do it the once then let them dry out and keep them covered from there on.

That will be the plan. Maybe clean them again in a few months if needed. Its an old dusty place we have

I actually thought you were taking the piss with the scraper. How does it deal with the dust issue? Surely scraping at it just creates more? Or does this scraper differ from other scrapers in some way?

Our stones are so little used thus far there is almost no tacky on them yet Unhappy Some of them have developed patches of green slimy growth as well.

I will wash them and keep a towel handy for passionate rubbing down, and take in a scraper when the tacky build up becomes an issue

Yes, sadly we do.

They have been laying outside for well over a year, unloved and unused. We had nowhere to use them till now.

They should get used more soon, and I hope to have your problem in the not too distant future.
