At what point in a session do people start using it?

If I'm deadlifting, I'll try to go as heavy as I can with no chalk or do a no chalk record before adding chalk.

I use chalk almost from the start dont see why you wouldn't as it's allowed in every comp

Tbh i normally start deadlifting without it and DOH then grab some chalk at 100ish on warm ups then swap from DOH to mixed grip at 140ish.

Probably at 80% + on deadlift. Depends what bar I'm using too. Don't really feel the need to use it on the Texas Power bar, grip is good enough. Just chuck it on for the sake of it.

Whenever my hands are sweaty, and definitely on my top DOH set / mixed grip sets

I'm entirely addicted to the stuff.

Last night alone I chalked my hands 6 times in between 2 singles on squats. My hands have never been healthier though (i.e. callus tears etc.) and I pay for all the chalk in my gym Happy

Strange man!

I don't like much chalk, just enough to keep the hands dry. I sometimes only use chalk every 3 or 4 lifts.

I cover myself in it!
It acts as a cue switch...That is, it tells my brain to wake up and put some effort in.

I get it all over my t-shirt and it is always apparante when Ive been scratching my nadsEmbarassed

maybe around the 140/150 area? for me I don't see any reason to do work sets or high warm up sets without it. my grip is fine, also I like my warm up sets to be exactly the same conditions as my work sets. id happily put on chalk for 60kg

Yoke frame carry medley at nationals.
Flew with the yoke. Sweaty palmed competitor prior to me had a sweaty grip.
Drop drop! Not enough chalk definitely the issue

I don't believe I have ever chalked my hands before benching or squatting, yet so many others do.

Deadlift - I use it from two hundred onwards
