I hear a lot of people say you shouldnt eat carbs at night if you can help it, do you think there is any truth in this?

Also, whilst im here, i want to lose a few kilos and get to about 80 (currently 85). Obviously i want to keep as much of my 'strength' as possible. So i was thinking a bit less junk food and losing weight very slowly.. any advice please? Cardio?

My advice is don't do it. What's the point of losing fat until you are well and truly huge?

I want to get to at least 17 stone before I start thinking about cutting a bit. You need to get some meat on you Davo - SUGDEN BULK!!

Cutting is for wimps.

But on a slightly less biased note, cutting carbs later on in the day and evening is effective for fat loss in my experience. You can also refeed every 4 or 5 days to make sure you have some energy.

In terms of strength, just don't start doing any hip rep bulls**t. Keep training sensible but don't expect anything remarkable to happen.

lol you'll be friggin huge at 17 stone!

Well i see what your saying but at 17 stone how long would it take you to cut? And to what weight? And how would that affect strength as opposed to shorter bulk/cut cycles?

This is all mere speculation (I may just turn into a total fat bas***d like Rick), but I would say that I would probably cut down to 15 stones if I were to (from 17).

In terms of strength, I don't think I would lose much / any more than doing several mini cycles as it were - I really just don't see the point in these; just stick to something and do it.

You don't look like you need to cut from your videos - and if you've got a bird then you have the luxury of being able to get as fat as you want. If not, just do what Olly does and suck your gut in every time you go into the Orange Grove.

you put across a good argument and you would ALMOST pursuade me but for these reasons;

a) i can no longer fit my arse or legs into any of my jeans
b) i can no longer fit my arse into any jeans i try on in topman
c) i dont have a bird anymore so i have to start thinking about my appearance

oh and mum thinks im a fat bas***d...

Mate - A and B are good things. They are signs that you are becoming a MAN. Grin Grin

Pity about C though, but it's Winter remember - I doubt you're going to be walking around topless anywhere!

I think you need to sit down with your Mum and explain to her the exact difference between a POWER BELLY and a beer belly. Then she will understand.

yeah i sometimes think that once i reach 20 stone i might cut but then it sounds like a stupid idea when i actually realise that it would mean eating less and ***shudders*** cardio...

Joni, we already discussed this - you need to make 136kg/300lb/21stone 6lb so that you actually double your lowest adult bodyweight!

I say bulk - balls to cutting. I think that if you keep the bulk clean, you won't gain too much fat. I have no experience of carb reduction - I just always eat as much as possible.

I aim to become the sugden forum's hugest dude in the very near future - I'm at 120kg/19stone now so I'm not far off!

I'd quite like to help you with that goal by providing one person fewer to pass... though not enough so to do anything about it, natch.

To double my lowest adult bodyweight, I'd need to get to about 28-29 stone (about 180-185kg). I do not wish this to happen.

a) I don't appear to me able to fit my arse or legs into any jeans any more. I'm quite pissed off about it but it's looking like something I'm just going to have to accept.

b) This is a problem? Why would you want to fit into jeans from Topman?

So what do you now wear?

Its a problem because the jeans there are pretty cheap and i dont want to be spending much on jeans. Actually i went to the trafford centre looking for a pair yesterday, i even struggled to fit my arse into a pair of 34" workers (their 'lose fit' range). As usual i came away with no jeans Angry

Im confused as to why people have so much trouble with jeans. I know plenty of fat people who can find jeans no problem (even Joni can find jeans and he's REALLY fatGrin )

Granted my svelte physique has a rather slender waist but still, you guys shouldnt have this much trouble!

Mate I bought a few pair of 36" jeans from Next and they fit fine - don't see what all the fuss is about.
