still a devious weightlifting bastard Member 43, 14374 posts | Hard to say mate. I know I have one but I really dont know myself well enough to know when it's fried or anything. A lot of todays termonology is lost on me. CNS, deloading, linear progression, plyometrics, triple extension etc. I personally think that too many people are looking for excuses not to do things. 2 years after a starving 5 stone Jim Haliday came back from the POW camps of the Burmese railrods he competed at 67.5 in the 1948 olympics in London and got a bronze. After the medal ceremony he imediately had to get on a train home. He arrived at MC Picadilly at 2 in the morning walked home to Kersley - 10-12 miles? dumped his kit bag and bronze medal, had breakfast, then went to do a 12 hour shift at Agecroft collery. Jim probably had the same idea about CNS as I do. That aside, I feel pretty good. No aches at all. I guess thats what you mean?

Eat.Cycle.Sleep.Win Member 2, 12511 posts SQ 190, BP 150, DL 280620.0 kgs @ 99kgs UnEq Administrator | When my dad trained he lifted with a fairly good powerlifter. They were both doing Phds at Cambridge but in differing areas of science. His training partner later became a professor of DNA research at Yale having held the same position at Cambridge. (ie he was f**king clever) He would bench press every lucnhtime. He would either squat or deadlift every evening. When he had the energy he would do weighted sit ups and chins. On the weekends he would do nothing. He was f**king strong. Didn't talk much about his CNS though I dont think......
