It might seem pretty disco, but these are good if you've got a mashed hand, and will allow you to deadlift/row/shrug etc - http://www.vegansportshop.co.uk/index.php/miscellaneous-produc...

Front squats.
Leg presses.
Lying ab exercises.
Back extensions using a band for resistance if you can't hold onto a plate.
Shrugs using a standing calf raise machine.

I wouldn't bother with any one handed exercises.

Why ask for advice and then tell us what you're going to do anyway, which is not what anyone suggested?

I wouldn't 'play' at anything if I were you. Cane the list of exercises I gave you and come back stronger at the end of your convalescence, or tread water playing at one hand snatches and stuff and be weaker than before you bust-up your hand.

I broke the f**k out of my arm a few years ago, got a nice big scar and some plates and pins to go with it. I still trained as much as I could with it. All my lower body stuff was with machines where I could just move the pin to load weights and my upper body stuff was with machines that I didnt have to actually grab and could use my elbows or forearms to move it. As silly as it sounds I would stand and flex a lot too just to keep things moving. If you are serious about keeping at it, you will figure something out. Good luck dude!

If I had a "bust up" hand, I'd find some way of holding a barbell on my back (wrapping arms over the top?) - and squat squat squat.

There are those gloves that incorporate a hook on them and also the elbow stirups used for leg raised that could be adapted for back exercises on machines. Just a thought.
