Last session of my 1st of 4 phases training for the briritsh:

Squats: 4r x 70/120/150/170/200

4 x 215 x 4r, 1 x 215 x 6r

Bench: 6r x 70/100/120/130

5 x 137.5 x 6r

Deadlift: 4r x 70/120/170/220

5 x 4r x 245kg

I had to travel to Eggborough to do the YNE spillover comp in order to hit a 467.5kg qualifying total for the -120kg class for the british as i'd only ever qualified at 120+kg. Rather an inconvenience, but it was a chane to get my "first" total and expierience of cutting weight out the way befofe the British.

Weighed in comfortable at 118kg.

Sq: Just hit an easy opener of 220kg, did't push it due to training the day before and knowing that i'll be resuming training again today (27th)

Bp: Again just did 150kg opener and left it

Dl: as above but with 280kg to get the YNE junior DL record

Very easy day, went with the goal of qualifying for the 120 junir class and did just that, pleased to have finally bit the bullet and dropped into the 120's.

1st session of phase 2, the second 4 week phase of 4 in prep for the British, this is a similar set out to the Base cycle i carried out in the previous 4 weeks, just with slightly lower reps and slightly higher weights as per ususal.

This week is just an intro week so a slight de-load but still working reasonably hard.

Squats: 7r x 70/100/120/150/170kg

3s x 7r x 185kg

Bench: 5 x 50/70/100/120kg

5s x 5r x 130kg

Deficit deadlift (2"): 5r x 70/120/150/170/200kg

3s x 5r x 210kg.

yeah maye i'm a good 22kg lighter than Russia lol

When i was Oly lifting i was only 15/16Yo and my best lifts were i think

100kg snatch

120kg C&J

They haven't improved much to be honest lol

It's unlikely mate, i enjoy powerlifting more, and after 6 years of it, i've became a lot less flexible, so it would take a while to re-learn the movements and make myself more supple.

Managed to get a calf injury, so taking the smart route and resting the squat and deadlift until friday where i will hopefully continue what was planned for the week and my calf will be better. It is already starting to feel better anyways, so it doesn't look as bad as first feared.

I did however decide to concentrate on bench and will be doing so on wednesday too.

- Bench press (legs flat on box): 70/100/120/130 x 5r.

3 x 140 x 3r

3 x 120 x 5r

3 x 100 x 8r

3 x 70 x 20r

Chins: 3 x 12r

Bent over row: 3 x 100 x 12r

Pulldowns: 3 x 10r

Face pulls: 3 x 12r

Shrugs: 5 x 20r.
