I think probably lifting sumo is worse than using PEDS ...and if you are gonna stack a ridiculous benching arch with SUMO .....

Or maybe not?

I was tested in my first weightlifting comp. Came back as clean as a whistle.

They've never tested me since because they realised I'm s**t! Waste of a test!!!! Grin

Does anyone ever give any thought to the legality of steroids? Not trying to be judgemental or start a poo storm but genuinely curious if it crosses anyone's mind? I know it's legal to possess and import in person, but I'm gonna go ahead and guess not many people are going abroad to get them then declaring them for personal use on reentry to the UK.

While Big Rory flogging them down the gym might be a nice enough chap, I'm sure somewhere along the line some pretty s**tty people are making big money moving these prescription drugs in large quantities around the world. Who knows, it might even be funding organised crime. I'd feel pretty s**t if my pursuit of a bigger squat could potentially fund terrorism, for example.

+1 defo drugs here are controlled by paramilitaries. A lot of animal steroids meant to be in use also.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. You could follow this line of thinking for pretty much anything you do in life.

Maybe, but I doubt there's much, if anything, I do that contributes directly to the finances of drug traffickers, and if there is it's unintentional and not with an 'oh well' attitude.

Of course, they may be playing mind games, knowing that the likes of people like me can read all this, so they put that they are testing their guys so they don't get singled out at comps Grin
I doubt it though.

In Suzdal for the 2013 classic, apparently the Russian federation wanted more than testing than the IPF had budgeted for. When they were told this was the case the RPF paid for the extra testing.

This was second hand info so could all be bo***cks, but on the surface at least it seems like the RPF are keen to demonstrate their commitment to testing. Whether or not the lifters follow this line of thought may be a different matter though Tongue

Ignorance is bliss they say.

Mind you getting a mortgage or paying interest on any financial product funds the banks and they are even bigger criminals if you ask me!

If any of us has bought something we know to be 'hooky' then we have probably funded something nasty , indirectly or otherwise.

However, I did myself think about it , not so much about where the money went , but if I were to get my collar felt and lost my job/stash.
