As Boar alluded to, it stops the fed getting in to trouble. Im surprised at that.

They're probably testing them to make sure they don't test positive and that all the masking agents etc they have put in place are working so their systematic doping system doesn't get found out..!

But not in the same way that the GBPF would do it..!! I bet if they got a positive test then the lifter would be pulled out the comp with an injury rather than banned like a Brit would be! As per the norm come the Olympics

embarrasingly poor bench Member 2684, 4043 posts SQ 240, BP 135, DL 275650.0 kgs @ 103kgs UnEq | kirkynick said:I wonder what guys who have never taken anything think of guys who have openly taken something coming into their drug-tested federation to compete? I presume, at least from my point of view, if there is nothing in the rules then there shouldn't be any problem, but I presume also that not everyone will be looking at it from the same point of view. I compete in Strongman and have never used any gear. I have always competed in untested comps where the vast majority of guys are using to some extent or another and have never had a problem with that as there are no rules to say they can't. However I am competing in my first natural comp in 2 weeks and if I were to find out that I was to be competing against someone who had been using gear for years and only come off recently I wouldn't be happy about that. My personal thoughts are that if someone has used gear regularly and competed in untested comps they shouldn't then just come off and start entering natural ones. Especially in strength sports where there are so many options to compete in untested comps.

Avatar Member 5517, 1538 posts SQ 160, BP 165, DL 201526.0 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | You'd think in commercial mma there would be a genuine case for Dr's to proscribe PED for healing of tendons/ligaments/joints etc injured in grappling, submissions etc. What do you think of professional rugby? I was beside a Munster forward in the pub recently. Guy was more musclely in person than Andy Bolton or Terry Hollands, who are 2 of the strongest people on earth. Hard to believe he was naturally able to take the hits those guys take, train hard enough to be super big and recover to do it again a week later.
